Today’s post is bittersweet: it marks the ten-year anniversary of Haunted Hill’s blog but also serves as an announcement for a temporary break. Over the past few years, the demands of my job have grown exponentially, causing me to work upwards of thirteen hours a day every day of the week. As a result, my creative process has suffered and, lately, so has the blog (you may have noticed that the posts for the last few months were late). After several weeks of painful rumination, I have decided to take a one-year break as I work toward situating my work-life balance. I will continue to maintain Haunted Hill’s YouTube channel by posting content the second and final Fridays of every month; however, I will not post new content to Haunted Hill’s blog as I strive toward developing a system that meets the requirements of my job while still allowing me to be creative. I want to thank all of my readers for their encouragement over the past decade and I look forward to sharing new ideas with you in 2027.
